Harman is looking for a Purchasing Analyst . The role would initially be for a period of 6 to 12 months, with the possibility of extension to a permanent position after.

For this reason the payroll will be outsourced to a third party. 

 

The Purchasing Analyst (Planner) is the central point of contact between the EMEA Supply Chain team and the centralized Global Supply Chain team in Shenzhen (China). He/she will monitor the purchasing process, sets priorities, and confirms ways of transportation. The job includes monitoring demand generated by the ERP system, pre-shipping management, projects and reporting for the EMEA Lifestyle Consumer Audio business unit. Besides this, he/she is responsible for planning of Value Added Services at the 3PL warehouse.

The Purchasing Analyst reports to the Associate Dir. Purchasing & Freight-In.

 

 

Job Responsibilities:

Operational:

  • Daily operational contact with GSCM team in Shenzhen (China) and peers in other regions
  • Execute and drive direct shipment process
  • Optimization of supply to central warehouse / direct business
  • Daily operational contact with internal stakeholders in (Product) Marketing, Logistics and Sales
  • Any special “project” support with regards to supply planning
  • Scheduling of VAS / rework activities at 3PL

 

Process / reporting

  • Inventory control + highlight and report exceptions
  • Provide Finance department with supply projections per month
  • NPI planning – cross departmental alignment on first volume ordering
  • Safety stock calculations / maintenance
  • Buffer stock calculations / maintenance
  • Backorder reporting / tracking and initiate recovery plans

 

Project / Analytic support

  • Execute assigned projects
  • Initiates and implements improvement supply chain projects
  • Creates / input to monthly Departmental report

 

 

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in the field of e.g. Supply Chain management / Logistics
  • 3-5 years’ work experience in the own discipline
  • Candidate must be fluent in English
  • Dutch language skills are to be considered to be an advantage.
  • Operates independently on specific work field
  • Experience with MS office suite, strong knowledge of MS excel highly preferred
  • Experience with SAP is highly preferable
