Position Summary:

This position is within HARMAN’s EMEA Lifestyle Audio Division, based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. The Marketing Controlling Coordinator role has 2 focus areas: Budget Coordination and support to the Senior Marketing Controlling and Operations Coordinator and Marketing Department.

The Marketing Controlling Coordinator has a maintaining and controlling role concerning the EMEA Marketing Budget. Key to this role is the monthly tracking and reporting of the budget, working with stakeholders such as, Business Analysis, Regional Marketing and the Local Sales Offices.

 

This role reports to the Senior Marketing Controlling and Operations Coordinator.

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Budget Coordination – Support the annual 70M USD EMEA Marketing Budget planning process. Tracking of all expenses regionally and locally, provide monthly marketing dashboards in cooperation with Business analysis. Report and present updates and status to the Senior Marketing and Product Management Coordinator.
  • SRM coordination:  Supporting the Purchase Order Process for EMEA Product Marketing. Controlling the Marketing spend through the SRM tool.
  • Expense file: Maintaining and updating the expense file for EMEA marketing and controlling the local expense files. Monthly reporting of the budget to the Senior Marketing Controlling and Operations Coordinator and Business Analysis.
  • Marketing Dashboards: Creating monthly Marketing Dashboards for EMEA and for local marketing. Key is the alignment between Business Analysis and the organization.
  • Vendor Management (MDM) and Procurement: support new vendor selection, and set up.

     

  • Support the Product Marketing Department – Support the department on daily operations
  • Support with department expenses
  • Manage consignment reviews on quarterly basis
  • Manage the inventory level (stock control) of 3 showroom locations
  • Manage the vendors that produce Harman EMEA’s merchandise/giveaways
  • Provides support for ad hoc projects and activities.

     

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 1-3 years’ experience preferably in an International Marketing or Financial environment
  • Ability to work within a matrix organization 
  • Experience with MS office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Preferably some experience with SAP
  • Strong Organizational skills and detail oriented
  • Independent and team player, fluent in English, Dutch would be advantageous
