Position Summary:
This position is within HARMAN’s Automotive Division. The primary responsibility is to facilitate & moderate problem solving in a systemic way by following problem solving techniques. The System Architecture team is looking for the ultimate team player with positive and constructive thinking. The Successful candidate will have a demonstrated record of accomplishment of success with systemic problem solving and supporting prevention mechanisms.

Job Responsibilities:
- Drive & facilitate the cross functional teams to SOLVE the problem/issues in a systematic solving techniques.
- To collaborate with cross competency SME’s of SYS, HW, ME and SW and program team members.
- Lead and steer the technical discussions with cross- functional team on potential causes of failure from product design, quality, testing and reliability.
- Implement one of the standard problem solving technique to solve the problem
- Work closely with the incident management team, analyzing incident records to identify repeat incidents, and the change management team, as they implement permanent fixes to problems.
- Need to maintain an overview of the problems queue (Issues open), updating status and keeping affected stakeholders informed of progress.
- A key part of the role is creating and managing a knowledge base, with information about known errors and lessons learnt, its implementation.
- Provide guidance and training to team members on HARMAN BMS Process (IATF 16949, ISO9001, ASPICE, etc.), PLM gate processes and problem-solving methodologies.
Basic Qualifications:
- Master or Bachelor’s degree with appropriate software/hardware and embedded system working knowledge
- 10+ Year’s experience in OEM automotive product design (audio systems preferred)
- Vehicle communication bus experience CAN, Ethernet, A2B
- Onboard communication busses such as, I2C, (O, Q)SPI, TDM, UART
- Software development, debugging, and validation experience
- In-Depth understanding of the automotive product design and development process
- Solid background in using problem solving methodologies
- Ability to communicate progress on the open issues persuasively and concisely to all levels of the business
- Good written and verbal communication in English
- Flexible in terms of tasks and responsibility
- Ability to build relations and work independently
- Self-motivated, passionate about audio and high sense of responsibility
Preferred Qualifications and desired competencies:
- Ideal candidate has experience working as an audio, infotainment, or other automotive module engineer with automotive OEM customers
- Automotive systems experience
- Embedded system design experience or familiarity
- Embedded system software development in C/C++ and model-based familiarity
- Experience working with automotive OEM in an embedded system development
- Problem solving methodologies like Fish Bone Diagram, 5 Why analysis, 8D, DMAIC, A8, Fault Tree Analysis etc., familiarity desired
Eligibility Requirements:
- Willingness to travel 10% of the time.
- Willingness to travel to customer locations when requested
