About the Role

As part of the HARMAN Program Management Team, the SW Resident Engineer is the direct contact person for our customer Volvo in case of upcoming technical questions and problems related to HARMAN programs and development.

What You Will Do:

• Very close cooperation with HARMAN engineering teams for but not limited to: R&D, PM, System Test, SW test and issues fixing.
• Responsible for support and maintaining the HARMAN components at customer side - bring-up for new samples, exchange outdated HW, execute and control SW updates, do tracing, collect and document information for failure analysis, reference to specification, align priority with the customer and initiate corrective measures following the HARMAN failure mitigation process.
• Join customer test drives and ensure proper tracing and documentation.
• Explain and coach customer teams in usage of HARMAN product and tracing tools used for the development project.
• Represent the HARMAN team in technical discussions, requirements as well as fault reports management and progress tracking.
• Support the HARMAN teams in preparation of customer meetings.

What You Need:

• Technician or Engineer in the field of Electrotechnics or Embedded Software.
• At least 2 years of experience as a resident or application engineer, or SW developer/tester in an automotive environment.
• High commitment to the HARMAN program and products.
• Strong quality awareness.
• Strong communication skills.
• Availability to work from Customer facilities.
• Resident in Sweden (Gothenburg area) – or willingness to move there.
• Readiness to travel to if relevant for the program.
• Excellent language skills in English, both written and spoken.

What is Nice to Have:

• Swedish language is a plus.

What Makes You Eligible:

• Be willing to travel up to 20%, domestic only OR domestic and international travel if required by the program.
• Be willing to work in an office, manufacturing facility, client-site. Partial remote work is possible for this position, as long as well aligned and coordinated with main interfaces at customer and Harman.
