About the Role

As Sales Lead, you will be responsible for growing Harman’s automotive business to meet customer specific booking targets in our Greater Europe Account. You and your team will engage with the customer in an early stage to create business opportunities and drive these opportunities with healthy commercials to award. High priority will be to drive our Harman product strategy in our CAM Greater Europe! Our vision 2030 is to be the most profitable account with the highest product share in Europe!


Your Team

This position leads a global team of Sales Managers supporting Harman Customer Strategy for projects and future automotive products for your customer.

What You Will Do

  • Build, maintain and drive the pursuit strategy for new business opportunities in alignment with the customer account strategy.
  • Driving proactively our business transformation and grow our product share in a very tide collaboration with our business development team further.
  • Identify and create new pursuits and drive early engagement activities including “war gaming” and 10 standards.
  • Own RFI/RFQ response for new business opportunities and be responsible for the quote as well as for commercial sourcing negotiations with the customer.
  • Create game-changing unique selling proposition and value statements.
  • Understand customer expectations (cost, requirements, timing) and define internal targets to meet them
  • Identify key stakeholders and decision makers and develop strategies to win new business
  • Lead and develop a team of highly engaged sales managers
  • Execute the HR cycle activities including hiring, performance management, succession planning, coaching and development

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • 10+ years of related sales experience with at least 5 years leading a Sales Organization and at least 3 years in Automotive
  • Must have a thorough understanding of Automotive OEM’s organization and processes
  • Thorough understanding of P&L statements, business cases and quotes / contracts with automotive OEMs
  • Understanding of the value of a product- and platform strategy
  • Strong hunting and negotiation skills
  • Experience developing and executing a strategy

What is Nice to Have

  • Master’s Degree in Business Management or Engineering
  • Technical understanding of Automotive HW and SW systems
  • Experience within or working with applicable customers

What Makes You Eligible

  • Be willing to travel up to 50%, domestic and international travel
  • Be willing to work in an [office, manufacturing facility, client-site} OR This role is eligible to work remotely full-time with occasional trips into the X office location required (this could be on 24-hour notice)
  • Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment
