About the Role

As operations lead, you plan, direct, coordinate, and oversee operations and strategic activities in the Customer Group, ensuring development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet current and future needs of the Customer Group.  You will develop and lead Customer Group organizational improvement programs towards rightsized structures and footprint, which includes all aspects of organizational development and associated change management.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the Project Support Office, a centralized support team for the Customer Group (CG)
  • Develops business strategies and deployment plans, supervises implementation of company initiatives
  • Responsible for driving CG target alignment, cost improvement initiatives, best practices, reporting and processes, and interface management cross-function
  • Accountable for the strategy and execution for CG cost and quality targets
  • Works with the global Operations team on cross-region, cross-SBU projects

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent
  • Previous experience leading global programs and teams
  • Expert knowledge in terms of PLM methodologies, PM processes in project execution and project management
  • 12-15 years leading automotive programs and managing global teams
  • Experience in program management of infotainment, and/or connected car technologies across multiple customer engagements
  • Must be able to influence teams without a direct reporting structure.
  • Previous experience interacting with customer executives and managing escalations

What is Nice to Have

  • Master of Engineering in computer science or information technology or electrical engineering
  • Proved proficiency of Harman Competencies (Results driven, Team Player, Change Orientation, Customer Focus and Self Awareness) on an excellent level
  • Strive for operational excellence by achieving results beyond expectation
  • Ability to define individual aims corresponding to general and program strategy
  • Ability to integrate people, to resolve conflicts
  • Broad intercultural experience and excellent communication skills
  • Certification as Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar recommended

What Makes You Eligible

  • Be willing to travel up to 30%, domestic and international travel
  • Be willing to work in an office.
