BASIC FUNCTION
Responsible for managing product launches and all of the supporting activities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
• Attend program meetings, present and discuss plant concerns.
• Interface with design engineers, program managers, and plant personnel to resolve all new program issues
• Work with engineering, quality and production to prepare PFEMA for new products.
• Prepare corrective actions for any process related PV failures
• Schedule and manage pre-production/control run builds.
• Prepare preproduction documents per customer requirements
• Maintain new program status documents
• Manage all “safe launch” activities during SOP+90 day period
• Track launch PPM and prepare monthly report of launch activities
• Audio system evaluations
• Direct customer contact – Manage customer visits and pre-production audits
• Manage and prepare documents for TS audits.
• General APQP activities
• Some travel during launch period is required
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or related field..
Experience: Three-five years experience in automotive assembly. Toyota experience preferred.
Previous launch experience preferred.
Certifications: None required.
