Basic Functions:
This position will be responsible for building prototype speakers and electronics within the Farmington Hills Pilot Factory.  This role will require that loading and running all equipment in Pilot factory. Take parts kit from materials technician and place on machines, hand insert, or manual assembly.  Return parts kits to materials technician when done.  Manually insert parts and assemble electronic assemblies together. Touch up/repair damaged assemblies.  Build speakers from assembly prints.   Must be able to work with small parts.  Packout completed units.   Candidate should be experienced in SMT and mechanical assembly. (Fuji NXT, CP and QP experience preferred) 

Essential Duties:
1. Replace, load, and reload machine feeders for surface mount equipment
2. Monitor screen printer
3. Manual Insertion of components
 
4. Run radial insertion machine
5. Load and unload X-ray machine
6. Manually assemble components at finish cell
7. Run conformal coat machine
8. Run router to remove PCB from panel
9. Use basic measurement tools such as calipers, straight edges etc.
10. Run rivet, glue and robotic machines to build speakers
11. Read basic assembly prints of speakers.
12. Run electronic scales for measuring adhesive dispense weights.
13.  Able to do basic English & Metric mathematical conversions of dimensions and weights.
14. Maintain a clean and orderly work place.
 
Other Duties:
Provide support to materials technician in picking and returning parts.
Count parts at inventory time
 
Position Qualifications:
Education:  GED or equivalent 
Experience:  Soldering, PCB, SMT and mechanical assembly are favorable.
