Essential Responsibilities:
 
This position will be responsible for assisting with the planning, design, implementation and administration of compensation programs that attract, retain, motivate and reward employees while ensuring internal equity, external competitiveness and governmental compliance.  
  • Providing support and administration of compensation programs, including annual compensation review and incentive plan administration; compensation analyses; benchmarking of roles; maintaining and updating position descriptions, and conducting job evaluations.  
  • Driving new Harman International salary structure and global grading project
  • Conducting analysis related to cost and trends, and providing analytical data management support for measurement and tracking of key compensation HR-related metrics. 
  • Supporting both Corporate and Business Unit Divisions by evaluating compensation programs for competitiveness, and providing guidance and direction on complex compensation issues. 
  • Accurately interpret, counsel, communicate, and educate managers and staff on compensation policies and procedures to ensure smooth operation of compensation initiatives.
  • Providing direction and guidance to the human resources staff in the analysis of salary surveys, other market analysis, salary planning activities, benchmarking, internal and external equity studies and job evaluations. 
  • Assisting in the evaluation of compensation plans related to mergers and acquisitions and the integration thereafter. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business or related field
  • 5 + years of relevant experience in a professional level compensation role within a global organization
  • In-depth understanding of technical applications in the compensation discipline
  • Knowledge of applicable wage and hour laws as well as federal and state compensation regulations
  • Strong analytical, research and problem solving skills along with proficiency with HRIS systems, spreadsheet and database software tools

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel 10% of the time
  • Willingness to work in an office in Stamford, CT
  • Willingness to submit to a background screen and a drug test
