Essential Responsibilities:
• Responsible for development of DSP/embedded digital audio processing algorithms for Consumer Electronics products.
• Design and implement algorithms and firmware modules in C/C++/Assembly on embedded DSP systems to perform encoding, decoding, post-processing and command-control processing within and between different audio modules.
• Identify and solve issues relating to real time implementation of digital audio algorithms.
• Work with Worldwide product development engineering and verification teams to develop and deliver the DSP modules.
• Regularly document findings, recommendations, algorithms, software, etc.
• Work closely with production and quality team to quickly integrate fully functional and production-ready modules.
• Function within highly talented specialized team environment and coordinate with others to accomplish project tasks.
• Ability to travel within US and to Asia for extended periods for on-site development as required.
Basic Qualifications:
• Requires a BS Degree and should have at least 7 years of related experience; or MS Degree with 5 years of related experience.
• Extensive Digital Audio Signal Processing algorithms development experience.
• Extensive Firmware implementation and integration experience.
• Experience in Assembly and C for DSP applications.
• Experience with Real-Time Operations systems.
• Experience with practical embedded DSP systems.
• Experience with different commercial debuggers and emulators.
• Good working knowledge of DSP fundamentals and firmware/ software development.
• Knowledge of digital filter design and systems theory.
• Knowledge of audio encoding, decoding and post-processing algorithms.
