Job Title: Senior Acoustic Systems Engineer
Essential Responsibilities:
• Design, development and integration, of any or all acoustic elements for new products that meet all market requirements and expectations.
• Design, develop and evaluate acoustic systems and transducers.
• Advancements in the creation and applications of new technologies that contribute to our technology and product roadmaps.
• Continuous and measurable improvement in group expertise through training and management of team members in new acoustic technology developments or special related projects.
• Maintain knowledge of CE market and competitive landscape to insure alignment of acoustic systems developments with consumer requirements.
• Maintain cross functional environment that includes Marketing, Manufacturing, Sales, Suppliers, Quality Assurance Departments to ensure the delivery of easy to build, cost effective, innovated & high quality products.
• Operate routinely and effectively within highly talented team environment with limited supervision and coordinate with others to accomplish project tasks.
• Participate in new products meetings to define the necessary acoustic technologies or solutions and to translate concepts into product requirements documentation.
• Support new product feasibility studies, test planning and cost estimations.
• Design, specify, engineer/develop and document necessary acoustic components such as transducers, ports, waveguides and crossover networks.
• Write specifications for and integration of signal processing electronics for complete powered acoustic systems optimization.
• Identify and evaluate new technologies, materials applications and signal processing techniques for systems optimization or acoustic component optimization.
• Regularly document findings, recommendations and seek out ways to improve product development efficiencies, process and technical competency.
• Work closely with other team members to quickly integrate all components toward fully functional products.
Basic Qualifications:
• Successful loudspeaker systems and transducer product design experience in a global team environment.
• Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering and 7 years of related experience.
